Type locality.
"In schwach schwefeligen Quellen [...] bei Vöslau unweit Baden" [in weakly sulfurous springs stones and sands at Vöslau near Baden], Austria.
Remarks.
Junior objective synonym of Melanopsis daudebartii [Prevost], 1821, which Rossmässler listed in synonymy. Moreover, the name is a junior homonym of Melanopsis buccinoidea minor Grateloup, 1838 (see Note 1).
