Generitype of Barreria Linnaeus.

Note: Neither the generic, nor the specific, name appears to have been taken up. The voucher specimen associated with the cited Plukenet illustration appears to be a member of the Bruniaceae . Both of these names may prove to be a threat to later well-established names.
