Holotype, ♀, ZMB 1455 / 1455 a–p (Verhoeff slide nrs 2602-2616); Haiti; collector and date not recorded.

Present name.

Junior synonym of Sphendononema guildingii (Newport, 1845); synonymized by Würmli (1978).

Remarks.

At the time of writing this species is erroreously databased in Chilobase as " pulchritaris ". The original spelling in Verhoeff’s (1904: 259) paper in clearly " pulchritarsis ".
