Range: — Costa Rica; Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC).

Ecology: —Common; hemiepiphytic, on tree trunks or creeping on steep, wet banks in humid forests; to 1600 m.

Notes: —A variable species, perhaps representing a species complex. The involucral shape is intermediate between Vandenboschia collariata and V. radicans .
