Range: —Known in Bolivia (CO), from a single, sterile collection (Kessler 7080, LPB, UC).
Ecology: —Rare; epiphytic in humid forests; 2350 m.
Notes: —Differs from Hymenophyllum subrigidum Christ , from Costa Rica to Venezuela, by stalked, forked marginal hairs (vs. simple or basally forked). We include this record here to call attention to this potentially undescribed species.
