Range: —Antilles; southern Mexico to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP) and Brazil; Africa, Madagascar and other islands in the western Indian Ocean.
Ecology: —Common; epiphytic or on moist rocks in humid forests; 350–1600 m.
Notes: —Petioles slender, 0.2–0.3 mm thick, at least distally conspicuously winged, as are rachises; segment margins with mostly stellate or 2-forked hairs. Highly variable, and perhaps representing a species complex.
