Copris View in CoL subaenea Castelnau, 1840: 79 (original description). Type locality: French Guiana. Name-bearing type: lectotype (BMNH), designated by Montoya-Molina & Vaz-de-Mello (2021), examined by FZVM.
Distribution
Montoya-Molina & Vaz-de-Mello (2021) recorded the species from Guyana, French Guiana, and Brazil. Vulcano & Pereira’s (1967) record from Venezuela was not addressed.
