Type locality. Pakitza , Rio Manu, Madre de Dios, Peru.

Bionomics. Immature stages of this species develop in bamboo internodes, usually with small holes produced by beetles or other animals ( Harbach 1994). The species was found at an altitude of 1,032 m in the Atlantic Forest of southern Brazil ( Anjos & Navarro-Silva 2008).

Arbovirus infection records. None.

Occurrence in Brazil. State of Paraná ( Anjos & Navarro-Silva 2008).

Occurrence in other countries. Peru ( Wilkerson et al. 2021).
