Type material. CHINA, Yunnan: Holotype • ♂, Mt. Weibao (24.52°N, 98.84°E), Weishan County, 2244 m, 24.VII.2013, leg. S. R. Liu et al., slide No. YAH15265. GoogleMaps

Paratypes: • 9♀, 23–24.VII.2013, other some data as holotype, slide No. ZXJ19169 GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. The new species can be distinguised from its congeners in the female genitalia by the lamella antevaginalis being a pair reniform plates. It is similar to M. dilatifasciata sp. nov. in the male genitalia, and the differences between them are stated in the diagnosis of the preceding species.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 9‒14 ). Forewing length 5.0− 5.2 mm.

Head whitish yellow. Labial palpus whitish yellow; second segment with distal 1/3 black on outer surface, with a black apical ring; third segment slightly shorter than second segment. Antenna: scape yellow mixed with black scales; flagellum with basal 1/8 yellow, yellow alternated with greyish brown from basal 1/8 to tip on ventral surface, yellow alternated with black from basal 1/8 to basal 1/4, greyish brown alternated with black from basal 1/4 to basal 4/5, yellow alternated with black in distal 1/5 on dorsal surface.

Thorax and tegula yellow, tegula blackish brown basally. Forewing with costal margin arched, apex narrowly rounded; ground color blackish brown, with a yellow spot at base; median fascia whitish yellow, from middle of costal margin extending to end of fold, widened posteriorly; distal spot yellow, inverted triangular, large, its width about 2/5 width of forewing, situated at distal 1/4; plical spot black, at distal 1/3 of fold; discal and discocellular spots black, at inner and at outer margins of cell respectively; fringe concolorous with wing. Hindwing and fringe greyish brown. Legs yellow; on ventral surface, coxa of foreleg with scattered blackish-brown scales, femur with covered blackish-brown scales, tibia blackish brown except yellow apically, tarsus blackish brown except yellow at base of basal tarsomere and at apices of basal two tarsomeres, femur of midleg blackish brown apically, tibia blackish brown except yellow at middle and at apex, tarsus with basal four tarsomeres blackish brown except yellow at apices and at base of basal tarsomere, tibia of hindleg with scattered greyish-brown scales, tarsus of hindleg with scattered greyish-brown scales, denser on basal tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 27‒32 ). Uncus sub-lanceolate, with dense short setae. Tegumen short, shallowly concave medially on anterior margin, uniformly wide except slightly narrowed apically. Valva broad, widened medially, thereafter slightly narrowed to rounded apex, with dense long setae in distal half; costa a narrowly banded, slightly arched medially; transtilla a slender bar, joined medially. Sacculus slighter longer than saccus; triangular, wide at base, narrowed to apex, slightly concave medially on dorsal margin, heavily sclerotized and with sparse short setae in distal 1/3; apex acute, curved dorsad. Saccus sub-triangular, rounded at apex, slightly shorter than uncus. Juxta U-shaped. Aedeagus longer than valva, tubular in basal half, heavily sclerotized and curved in C shape toward base in distal half.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 44‒49 ). Papillae anales sub-quadrate, setose. Apophyses anteriores half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth sternal plate spiculate, obtuse on posterior margin, shallowly concave in V shape medially on anterior margin. Lamella antevaginalis being a pair reniform reticulate plates. Ductus bursae almost entirely sclerotized except membranous before entrance of corpus bursae, narrowed anteriorly. Corpus bursae longer than ductus bursae, rounded, partly verrucous; signum situated near middle laterally, small, elliptical, with several small and one larger teeth ( Fig. 45a View FIGURES 44‒49 ); ductus seminalis arising from middle of corpus bursae.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin fasc- and - pterus referring to the median fascia of the forewing.
