Bovicola equi ( Denny, 1842) View in CoL

Bovicola equi View in CoL is the only chewing louse known to infest horses ( Price & Graham 1997; Price et al. 2003). Although horses are not native in Malaysia, the importation of these animals for recreational purposes implies that B. equi View in CoL may be present in the country. Further research is needed to determine the presence and prevalence of B. equi View in CoL in both Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo.
