Type host – Oryza sativa .
Type locality – India.
Distribution – Andaman Nicobar, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Outside India – Papua New Guinea, Thailand and Vietnam.
Hosts – Bambusa sp. , Bambusa vulgaris , Cynodon dactylon , Hordeum vulgare , Musa paradisiaca , Musa sapientum , Oryza sativa, Poacea sp., Setaria sp. , Setaria verticillata and Zea mays .
