Type hosts – Bambusa vulgaris and Schizostachyum lima .
Type locality – Philippines .
Distribution – Andaman Nicobar Islands, Assam, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Outside India – China, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Slovenia, Taiwan and Thailand.
Hosts – Bamboo species, Oryza sativa , Phyllostachys bambusoides , Passiflora edulis , Saccharum spontaneum , Sasa borealis , S. senanensis , Schizostachyum lima , Syzygium aqueum , Thyrsostachys siamensis and Vietnamosasa ciliate .
