Historic records: none.

Material examined: Angola, 1 ♀, Nº 1907 (blue label), nº 203 (white label), old collection, box nº IX-78, MZUC .

Remarks. Despite its more southern-eastern known distribution, the adult specimen of MZUC fits well this species description ( Figs. 9e, f View FIGURE 9 ). It could be confused with Oxythyrea marginalis (Swartz, 1817) , but its green sheen is very noticeable. Biological and ecological data were provided by Holm & Marais (1992). It is a new species record for Angola.
