Fig. 23A, D View FIGURE 23
Diagnosis. Body length approximately 2.0 mm, not distinctly setose; general color brown, legs yellowish; pronotum distinctly constricted between lobes, anterior lobe with deep circular punctations; posterior margin of metanotal elevation rounded, not bifid; forewings reaching anterior portion of abdominal segment VII, with veins dark-brown, a basal pair of subtriangular white maculae surpassing apex of metanotal elevation, and three apical white maculae (two irregular maculae on sides, one elongated macula centrally and closer to apex); female abdomen sinuous; posterior margin of female abdominal mediotergite VII almost truncate.
Comments. Most Neotropical Hebrus are very poorly described and studied. Our material was identified by directly comparing it with the holotype deposited at the Naturhistoriska riksmuseet (Stockholm, Sweden; NHRS) and another specimen deposited at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution (Washington D.C., United States; NMNH). Both were collected in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the 19th century, by F. Sahlberg.
