Diagnosis. Both sexes. Hysteronotal setae d2, e2 present. Setae c2 spiculiform. Setae sR of trochanters III narrowly lanceolate. DHA present. Male. Opisthosomal lobes long, close to one another, separated by long and narrow terminal cleft extending beyond level setae ps2. Epimerites IVa free, with anterior ends not extending to genital apparatus. Paragenital apodemes present, connecting anterior ends of epimerites IIIa with lateral extensions of genital apparatus. Translobar apodemes absent. Terminal lamellae semi-rounded. Female. Setae f2 present.

The group consists of one species, Trouessartia crucifera Gaud, 1957 .
