Diagnosis. Body brownish-black, oval, strongly convex, punctation of elytra dense, punctures separated by ca. 1.0 diameter; aedeagus symmetrical, parameres narrow, longer than basal portion of tegmen.

Description. Holotype, male. Body oval, convex, shining, covered with brownish setae. Head, pronotum, scutellar shield and elytra dark brown. Antennae yellowish, slightly darkening until apices; legs brown.

Head of moderate size, convex dorsally, shiny, covered with small punctures separated by ca. 2.0 diameters; clypeus moderately long, slightly expanded antero-laterally, gently arcuate in front margin. Eyes moderate in size, prominent; head ca. 1.6× wider than interocular space. Antennae filiform, reaching basal 1/3 of elytra. Pronotum convex in mesal portion of the disc, punctures sparse, similar to those on head; antero-lateral angles widely subtriangular; postero-lateral angles right-angled; posterior margin slightly bisinuate. Scutellar shield relatively small, finely punctate, equilateral-triangular. Elytra oval, sides rounded, punctation stronger than on pronotum, punctures separated by ca. 1.0 diameter; humeri elevated. Hind tibial spurs slightly curved, dorsal one as long as tarsomere 1, ventral one 0.3× as long as dorsal one.

Sternite VIII very small, transversely U-shaped (L 0.07 mm, W 0.19 mm). Sternite IX (L 0.22 mm, W 0.18 mm) V-shaped. Tergite VIII (L 0.41 mm, W 0.36 mm) with transversely oval apical plate, bearing a row of relatively long setae on apical margin, apodemes as long as apical plate; tergite IX (L 0.38 mm, W 0.26 mm) with rectangular apical plate, apodemes ca. 2× longer than apical plate. Aedeagus symmetrical. Tegmen (L 0.93 mm, W 0.21 mm) Y-shaped, apical processes of tegmen relatively short, shorter than basal portion, outer margins of processes with minute denticles ( Fig. 4K View FIGURE 4 ). Penis (L 0.74 mm, W 0.21 mm) elongate, pala oval, narrowed in apical portion, apical process short, rounded at apex ( Fig. 4L View FIGURE 4 ).

Female. Unknown.

Variability. The studied specimens differed only slightly in TL.

Measurements and ratios. Males (n=3): TL 2.50–2.57 mm (2.53 mm), EL 2.07–2.27 mm (2.18 mm), PL 0.43–0.50 mm (4.67 mm), EW 1.80–1.83 mm (1.82 mm), PW 1.23–1.33 mm (1.27 mm), TL/EW 1.36–1.40 (1.39), PW/PL 2.64–2.85 (2.72), EL/EW 1.13–1.24 (1.20), EL/PL 4.53–4.77 (4.67), EW/PW 1.38–1.49 (1.44).

Distribution. Recorded from two localities on Viti Levu Island ( Fig. 9D View FIGURE 9 )

Etymology. After Navai village, located close to the locus typicus of the species.
