Distribution: Global: Eastern Pacific Ocean; from southern Baja California, Mexico, to Ecuador; entering estuaries and littoral lagoons and ascending river courses; Costa Rica: Ba (Pacific), 0– 32 m.a.s.l., Per, Dia.

Occurrence and conservation status: Nat, LC.
