Largetooth Sawfish, Common Sawfish; Pez Sierra, Pejesierra.

New record for the Sixaola River basin; previous records of the species in Costa Rican (Atlantic) freshwaters were restricted to the Lago de Nicaragua, Río Frío, San Juan, San Carlos and Tortuguero River basins. Basis of the record: Personal communication of William (Bill) McLarney (Association ANAI), based on observations made between 1980 and 1990 in the Sixaola River basin lowlands and data published by Valerio-Vargas & Espinoza (2019).
