Diagnosis: It can be identified by its large, robust body and short, narrow head; pronotal carina pratically straight, week, linear, sometimes indistinct, narrowly interrupted by the typical sulcus ( Uvarov, 1943: Fig. 17); metazona with thin edge, almost two times as long as prozona; tegmina very long, reaching the apex of hind tibia.

Habitats: The species is found on hillside. A few specimens were collected on grass from one locality only.

Material examined: Al Shati Region: Brack 3♀, on grass, 15.xii.1994 .

Localities: Libya: Fezzan: Al-Shati.

Distribution: Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Rio de Oro, Sahara, Hoggar, Tunisia, Mouretania, Tibesti.

Remarks: Widely distributed species. It has been earlier reported from Libya by Dirsh (1965).
