Distribution

Patoka River NWR: 1, 3, 22, 25, 27, 29-31, 35, 36, 73, 79

Muscatatuck NWR: 7-13, 16, 19, 20

Big Oaks NWR: 13, 15, 20

The species ranges from southern Indiana, Kentucky, southwestern Ohio, and northern Tennessee ( Lewis and Rafail 2002). The bluegrass spring isopod was collected from caves in the Middle Fork, Big Creek, and Graham Creek watersheds.

Ecology

Lirceus fontinalis (24%) was dominant within the refuges and is considered to have a wide habitat tolerance. The bluegrass spring isopod is a cave spring species associated with karst habitats ( Lewis and Rafail 2002).
