Description. Adult ( Fig. 21): Wingspan 25.5 mm.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 58): Posterior apophysis about two times length of anterior apophysis. Sterigma trapezoidal, concave at middle on posterior margin. Ductus bursae very long, longer than twice length of posterior apophysis; ductus seminalis arising from about middle of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae oval; signa a pair of sclerotized elliptical plates.

Type material. Holotype ♂, CHINA: Xishui , Guizhou Province, 500 m, 31.v.2000, coll. Yanli Du, genitalia slide no. W01007 ( NKUM, Tianjin) [examined].

Paratypes: 1 ♂, same data as for holotype, genitalia slide no. W01009 ; 1 ♂, Chishui , Guizhou Province, 240 m, 21.ix.2000, coll. Haili Yu ( NKUM, Tianjin) [examined] .

Additinal material: CHINA: 2 ♂, 1 ♀, Wenxian , Gansu Province , 860 m, 11–13.vii.2005, coll. Haili Yu, genitalia slide no. Distribution. China.

Diagnosis. This species can be easily distinguished by the forewing having clearly defined larger scattered spots ( Fig. 21), the brachia of uncus nearly straight and the valvella stout fingerlike ( Fig. 45). It is similar to S. incantata Meyrick in both appearance and male genitalia. The differences between the two species are discussed under S. incantata Meyrick.

Notes. The female of this species is described for the first time.
