2. Ulmus multinervis W. C. Cheng ex Yi F. Duan & X. R. Wang View in CoL
Type:— CHINA. Hubei: Lichuan, Maobaxiang, 27 April 1948, C. T. Hwa 435 (holotype NF-05500874!, isotype PE-00677957!)
Paratype:— CHINA. Hubei: Lichuan, ShuiShanBa, 16 October 1948, W. C. Cheng & C. T. Hwa 1153 (NF-05500878!, PE-00677951!, PE-00677959!)
Two gatherings, W. C. Cheng & C. T. Hwa 1153 and C. T. Hwa 435, were designated as type in the protologue ( Cheng 1958). Here we designate one of the two sheets of the latter as the holotype. The validating description and diagnosis were previously published by Cheng (1958: 72–74). Fu et al. (2003) treated it as a heterotypic synonym of Ulmus castaneifolia Hemsley (1894: 446) in the Flora of China.
