Lectotype (Edmondson in Davis, Fl. Turkey 6: 680. 1978): Herb. Linn. No. 795.3 ( LINN) .

Generitype of Vandellia Linnaeus.

Current name: Lindernia diffusa (L.) Wettst. ( Scrophulariaceae ).

Note: Lewis (in Castanea 65: 117. 2000) accepts 795.3 (LINN) as the lectotype but expressed doubts as to its identity.
