Type Locality: Gambia, Bathurst.

Vernacular Names: Rendall's Serotine.

Subspecies: :

Subspecies Neoromicia rendalli subsp. rendalli Thomas 1889

Subspecies Neoromicia rendalli subsp. phasma G. M. Allen 1911

Distribution: Senegal, Mali, and Gambia to Somalia, south to Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as Eptesicus rendalli .

Discussion: Reviewed by Koopman (1975) and Kock et al. (2002). This complex is in need of review as it may include more than one species (see Kock et al., 2002).
