Chromis delta Randall 1988 —Deepreef chromis

Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken east of Albatross Passage, southwestern Kavieng District, 2–38 m depth, St. KR 44, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell); another taken at Nubilus Island , off eastern New Hanover , at 3–32 m depth, St. KR 88, in 2014. WAM material (WAM P.28186-008, 9 specimens, Kavieng).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1, 2.—General distribution: Andaman Islands, Christmas and Cocos- Keeling islands east to Palau and Fiji, north to Taiwan, south to Queensland ( Australia). Found on steep seaward reef slopes, 10–80 m depth. Marine.
