Status at New Ireland. First recorded from New Ireland by White et al. (2018: 105), White & Ko'ou (2018: 26), based on a specimen collected off Kavieng during recent deep water surveys of the area (NTUM 11488).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Known only from New Caledonia and New Ireland. Demersal, 672–1150 m depth. Marine.
