Notes: The life history of Phalacrocera replicata has been intensively examined (e.g. Bengtsson, 1897; Miall & Shelford, 1897; Peus, 1952). The larval life-history and behaviour are somewhat similar to Phalacrocera tipulina , and combined details are thus provided below.
