Taxonomy. Phenacoccus solani Ferris 1918: 60 . Type data. U.S.A.: California on Hemizonia rudis .
Hosts in Egypt. Cucurbita sp. ( Dewer et al. 2018).
Distribution in Egypt. Rosetta ( Dewer et al. 2018).
Remarks. This is a very polyphagous, cosmopolitan species known to occur in Egypt since 2018.
