Echinostoma stantschinskii caudatum Yamaguti, 1939 View in CoL .

Material examined. Cheongju-si (36°37′23.3″N, 127°21′ 25.7″E), Korea; collected by SJ Choe on 8 March 2011.

Deposition. NIBRIV0000326025, NIBRIV0000326026.

World distribution. Belarus, Czech Republic, Japan, Russia and Korea.

Diagnosis. Body thin and flat, posterior third of the body curved ventrally. Collar well developed, armed with 31 single rowed spines. Oral sucker oval, subterminal. Ventral sucker cup shaped, well developed. Cirrus sac anterodorsal to ventral sucker. Forebody short. Vitelline follicles issued from ventral sucker to end of the body. Uterus occupied 2/4 region of body. Testes elongated, tandem, located at 3/4 region of body.

Remarks. Yamaguti (1939) described and named as a subspecies, E. s. caudatum from Tringa hypoleucos in Ise Province of Japan. However, the characters suggested by Yamaguti seem not enough to be a valid species. Thus, we regarded his species as a synonym of E. stantschinskii .
