Material examined. Incheon-si (37°35′36.08″N, 126°27′ 20.57″E), Korea; collected by JH Lee on 31 March 2017.

Deposition. NIBRIV0000862922.

World distribution. China, Europe, Japan, North America and Korea.

Diagnosis. No eyes. Prostomium small without proboscis. Dorsal chaetae from VI, 1 - 2 smooth, bent hairs, with one to two bifid needles chaetae, with precise teeth, equal in length ( Fig. 10A View Fig ). Ventral chaetae bifid, sigmoid from II, 4 - 5 per bundle with upper tooth longer and thinner than lower, posterior only be-coming equally long ( Fig. 10B View Fig ).

Remarks. Specaria josinae has the sigmoid needles that the same shape as the ventral chaetae and are well-developed needle teeth. Previous studies made a mistake in Nais species ( Michaelsen, 1900; 1909; Piguet, 1906).
