Habitat and distribution: —The new records were found on rabbit dung in the south of Sweden.
Specimens examined: — SWEDEN. Blekinge: Åryd par., Björkeholmen , on rabbit dung after 1 month in moist chamber, Uppsala, 25 June 1963, Ingvar Nordin 1868u, F-529755 ( UPS!) ; Skåne: Jonstorp par., Svanshall , on rabbit dung in moist chamber, Uppsala, 13 June 1963, Lena Junell 1664 n, F-529753 ( UPS!) .
Taxonomic remarks: —A majority of the previous Swedish records of S. corynespora in Eriksson (2014) are transferred to P. octonalis .
