Remarks. Widespread and common on various rosaceous trees ( Crataegus , Malus , Pyrus , Prunus ), with larvae only in autumn. Old records of mines may partly include misidentified S. crataegella , especially when recorded from the summer. The record from Corsica remains especially dubious.
