Remarks. See remarks under Ectoedemia albifasciella for the differences between these two species. In general, E. pubescivora is a more southern species, preferring Quercus pubescens in warmer localities. We have tentatively identified mines on Q. pubescens from 26­Drôme as belonging to this species, but they should be confirmed by adults.
