Remarks. Previously Ectoedemia rufifrontella was recorded only from Aubagne (13­ Bouches­du­Rhône); two more records show it is more widespread in Quercus pubescens forests. Active search in October­November for the characteristic mines is undoubtedly the best method for collecting this species.
