B e m e r k u n g e n: Dies ist eine vergleichsweise grosse Art mit langen Elytren, die keine irisierende Oberfläche zeigen. Dadurch unterscheidet sie sich auch äusserlich von Eu. americanus ERICHSON   , der z. B. mit ihr mehrfach zusammen erbeutet wurde. Die Weibchen lassen sich klar anhand der unterschiedlichen Gestalt ihres 8. Sternits trennen. HERMAN konnte 2001 nicht wissen, dass Eu. brevipennis CASEY   und Eu. albertae   konspezifisch sind, deshalb erhält der Name Eu. albertae Gültigkeit. Aus   meiner Ver- gleichsdiagnose (1998) geht hervor, dass ich Eu. albertae   damals nicht mit Eu. brevipennis   verglichen habe, woraus sich die Doppelbeschreibung erklärt.
