Other distribution: Indonesia (Sulawesi, Sumatera), Malaysia (E. & W.), Philippines, Sri Lanka. Intercepted in Japan in timber from the region. (4)

Biology: Polyphagous. Ohno (1990), for example, records twenty different genera in fifteen different families. Browne (1961a) describes the gallery system. The life cycle takes about 8 weeks ( Browne 1961a).
