1 M holotype (NHMUK), Somaliland, Somalia.

Distribution.

know from Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia, although Birula (1903) recorded toponyms that are old and difficult to map.

Remarks.

Lourenço (2008) stated that B. o. zeylensis might be a distinct species from B. berberensis , but that further material was required to confirm this possibility. Kovařík (2011) considered B. o. zeylensis a colour morph of B. berberensis present in juveniles and some males.
