Positive for esculin hydrolysis and cytochrome oxidase, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase in the API 20NE test. D-Mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetylglucosamine, and potassium gluconate are utilized. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-maltose, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are not utilized.
