Description of Methylobacterium gossipiicola HMF View in CoL 4666
Cells are Gram-staining-negative, flagellated, non-pigmented, and rod or oval-shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, entire, and pink-colored after 3 days of incubation on R2 A at 25° C. Positive for urease and cytochrome oxidase, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase in the API 20NE test. Only malic acid is utilized but other substrates in the API 20NE test strips are not utilized. Strain HMF4666 (= NIBRBAC000498445) was isolated from a wetland, Yongin, Gyeonggi, Korea.
