Positive for urease, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase in the API 20NE test. D-Glucose is utilized but L-arabinose, D-maltose, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, phenylacetic acid, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetylglucosamine and potassium gluconate are not utilized. Strain SG2- 5 (= NIBRBAC000498423) was isolated from an algal sample, collected at Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea.
