Description of Pseudomonas viridiflava JD View in CoL 16

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, pig- mented and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, smooth and pale yellow-colored after 3 days of incubation on R2A at 25°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and glucose fermentation, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, cytochrome oxidase, β -galactosidase, indole production, nitrates reduction and urease in API 20NE test. L-Arabinose, capric acid, D-glucose, malic acid, D-mannitol, D-mannose, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate are utilized. Strain JD16 (= NIBRBAC 000497937) has been isolated from fresh water sample, Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea.
