Description of Acinetobacter lwoffii KHN View in CoL 15

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-pigmented and coccoid-shaped. Colonies are circular and cream-colored after 3 days of incubation on TSA at 25° C. Negative for arginine dihydrolase, cytochrome oxidase, esculin hydrolysis, β -galactosidase, gelatinase, glucose fermentation, indole production, nitrates reduction and urease in API 20NE test. Capric acid, malic acid and phenylacetic acid are utilized. Strain KHN15 (= NIBRBAC000497835 ) has been isolated from gut of Japanese crested ibis ( Nipponia nippon ), Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, Korea .
