Holotype Ƥ (IES # 344) in good condition. It is a rather typical species of Neotropical Dusona , although it is distinctive in having most of the mesosoma reddish-brown with the scutellum yellow and strongly convex. The head is black with the clypeus and mandibles reddish-brown, and the epicnemial carina is strongly raised into a point medioventrally.
