Leptodrassus albidus Simon, 1914: 142 View in CoL , figs 255–257, ♂Ψ type material from France and Spain, not examined. Dalmas, 1919: 244, figs 3, 4, ♂Ψ; Chatzaki, Thaler & Mylonas, 2002a: 589, figs 64, 65, 72, ♂Ψ.

Description. Females, in general, resemble L. femineus but are much larger. Adult males have not yet been collected in Israel.

Female. Measurements (3ΨΨ): total length 4.3–4.5; carapace length 1.5–2.0, width 1.1–1.5, index 1.3–1.4; labial index 0.80–0.82; clypeal index 1.0; MOQ index 6.0–6.1; legs length: I 4.0–5.5, II 3.5–5.0, III 3.0–4.2, IV 4.7–6.3; patella-tibia index 1.5–1.9.

Epigynum . Large oval, bicolored scape covers greater part of epigynal plate but not the spermathecae ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15, 16 ); spermathecal structures in dorsal inner view as in Fig. 16 View FIGURES 15, 16 .

Diagnosis. Based on female. The shape of the large oval scape and the form of the spermathecal structures are distinctive characters that clearly distinguish L. albidus from all other Leptodrassus species.

Distribution. Spain to Crete, Israel - new record. Records. Israel: Sedot Mikha , Adullam , Lakhish .
