The genus Anthidiellum is represented by one subgenus in southern India, Pycnanthidium Krombein: size small (4.5–9 mm), preoccipital margin carinate dorsally, tegula broadly rounded, terga not swollen laterally, T1 with carina separating anterior and dorsal surfaces, and mandible of female scarcely expanded apically.
