Etymology.

Orgilus dianalipscombae is named in honor of Diana Lipscomb attending the international NSF-funded planning meeting for the All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory (ATBI) of Terrestrial Systems, and contributing her wisdom to the planning that was the founding of Costa Rica’s national BioAlfa today.
