Genus Bibrax Fletcher, 1927

Diagnosis (new). Among other Metopiasini , Bibrax is easily recognized by the combination of the first antennomere (scape) as long as the other segments together ( Figs 1, 2 , 9, 12 , 24, 25 ); second antennomere twice or more the length of the third ( Figs 1, 2 , 9, 12 , 24, 25 ); vertexal region of head without horn-like spine ( Figs 10, 13 , 24, 25 , 30 ); one spine-like process on both anterior sides of the gular plate ( Figs 9, 12 , 31 ); pronotum with antebasal sulcus absent ( Figs 10, 13 ); elytra with two or three basal elytral foveae ( Figs 10, 13 ).

Distribution. Panama, Colombia (new record).
