Subfamily Thaumetopoeinae View in CoL View at ENA * Aurivillius, 1889

*Miller (1911) concluded Thaumetopoeinae to be a subfamily under Notodontidae . However, Schintlmeister (2013) stated that Thaumetopoeinae stands phylogenetically somewhat far from the rest of the Notodontidae . Kobayashi & Nonaka (2016) after phylogenetic analysis confirmed Thaumetopoeinae as a stable subfamily under Notodontidae .
