The Paradelia intersecta View in CoL subsection
This subsection includes all species of the Paradelia intersecta section not included in the P. lundbeckii subsection. Evidence for its monophyly is the presence of a distinct constriction latero-distally on male surstyli. Griffiths (1987) gave as further evidence the presence of ‘setulose basal angles’ (e.g., Figs. 39, 40 View FIGURES 39 – 44 , arrow) on the posterior lobes of sternite V, but I regard homologous formations to be present in the P. lundbeckii subsection (e.g., Figs. 24, 25 View FIGURES 23 – 28 ) and in P. lunatifrons ( Figs. 17, 18 View FIGURES 16 – 22 , long arrow).
