TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Bahia, Salvador .

DISTRIBUTION: Colombia and Venezuela, south to N. Argentina and east to E. Brazil.

COMMENT: Includes hercules and fallax; see Koopman, 1978:15. It is possible that fallax is the correct name of this biological species (KFK). See also comments under lituratus .
